Conclusion
We tested our server’s speed, and it didn’t disappoint. At first, we got a speed of 190 MB/s, but it quickly got better, hitting speeds of 718 MB/s and 786 MB/s later. On average, it worked at a solid speed of 564.7 MB/s. When we checked how fast it could send and receive data over the internet, the results were mostly great, with only Hong Kong and China being the exceptions. The fastest upload and download times we saw were in Paris.
For another test that mixes reading and writing data, the fio Disk Speed Tests, our server could handle 80.25 MB/s in one test and over 1.32 GB/s in another. It impressed us when it could process 2.33 GB/s and 2.46 GB/s in the tougher tests. These numbers mean the server can store and manage data well.
We also ran the Geekbench 6 test. It’s like a fitness test for servers. Our server scored 1015 for one thing at a time and 1753 for juggling multiple tasks. You can check out the full scorecard for the specifics. Then, with the UnixBench test, our server proved it could think fast, especially when we asked it to do two things simultaneously. It did particularly well in two brainy tests, scoring 5709.3 and 2301.4.
So, what’s the bottom line? The OVHcloud server in Ashburn is a solid performer. It’s especially good at doing many things simultaneously, which tells us it can handle tough jobs without breaking a sweat. This server is a dependable choice for just about any job that needs to process data fast and keep a lot of information on hand.
