Conclusion
The three rounds of I/O speed tests kicked off with a slightly worrying 140 MB/s, but it quickly warmed up, delivering over 1 GB/s in subsequent tests, averaging an impressive 900 MB/s. Network performance was also top-notch, with high-speed uploads and downloads and very low latency, particularly noteworthy in Speedtest.net, Paris, and Amsterdam results.
The more detailed Yabs test corroborated these findings, with disk speed tests showing strong read and write speeds, especially at larger block sizes where the total throughput was capped at a phenomenal 1.66 GB/s. On the computation side, the Geekbench 6 scores showed the VPS with a single-core performance firmly in the ‘good’ range, and the multi-core performance was nothing short of excellent.
Looking at the UnixBench scores, the VPS displayed its strength across the board. The multi-tasking muscle was on full display, and the system performed exceptionally well when running multiple parallel copies of the tests. With the highest index score soaring above 4600, this server can easily handle many processes.
