Conclusion
First, we examined the server’s storage speed. We ran the I/O speed test three times, achieving an average speed of 762.7 MB/s. This result places the DataWagon server firmly in the “good” category for I/O performance, indicating snappy loading times and efficient data handling.
Next, we used Geekbench 6 to measure processing power. The DW-8G plan scored 1419 in single-core performance and 4513 in multi-core. This single-core score falls into the “good” range, suggesting smooth performance for everyday tasks. The multi-core score demonstrates solid capabilities for handling more demanding applications.
Finally, we tested network performance from various global locations. While the initial speed test showed lower speeds, likely due to local network limitations, subsequent tests revealed excellent connectivity. We saw impressive upload and download speeds exceeding 700 Mbps in most North American and European locations. As expected, connections to Asian locations showed higher latency and somewhat reduced speeds, though still respectable.
In conclusion, the DataWagon DW-8G plan offers a good balance of processing power, storage speed, and network performance. While not the absolute top performer in every category, its solid results across our tests make it a worthy contender for those seeking a reliable and reasonably priced virtual server.
