HostVDS Hong Kong Intel Xeon Burstable OpenStack Cloud Instance Test and Review
We recently tested the HostVDS Hong Kong Burstable OpenStack Cloud Instance, priced at $3.99/month. This server runs on an Intel Xeon Processor (Skylake, IBRS) with these specs: 2 CPU cores, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB NVMe SSD storage, 10 Gbit/s bandwidth, 2 TB traffic, and both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.
Our review includes several tests: Basic Benchmark, Yabs, and Unix Benchmark for performance, Global Node Test for network speed across locations, and Global Ping Test for latency. We also check media access with The Media Unlock Test, connection quality with the CloudFlare Internet Test, and web performance using PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix.

Conclusion
In our Basic Benchmark, the server showed impressive I/O speeds, averaging 796 MB/s, which is considered good. The upload and download speeds were also strong, reaching up to 1727.28 Mbps in Dallas, US. This indicates robust performance for data-intensive tasks.
The Yabs Performance Bench further confirmed the server’s capabilities. Disk speed tests showed excellent results, with read and write speeds over 1.4 GB/s for larger block sizes. These results suggest the server can handle demanding workloads efficiently.
