OneProvider Ireland Dublin OneCloud AMD EPYC General Purpose Instance Test and Review
We recently tested the OneProvider Ireland Dublin OneCloud General Purpose Instance, which costs $15 monthly. It runs on an AMD EPYC processor and offers 2 CPU cores, 4 GB RAM, 20 GB SSD storage, a 1 Gbps internet port, 2.5 TB traffic, and both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.
Our review covers several tests: Basic Benchmark, Yabs, and Unix Benchmark for performance, Global Node Test for network speeds across locations, and Global Ping Test for latency. We also check media accessibility with The Media Unlock Test, connection quality with the CloudFlare Internet Test, and web performance using PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix.

Conclusion
In our Basic Benchmark tests, the I/O speed averaged 71.2 MB/s, which is considered poor. Upload and download speeds were impressive, with local speeds reaching 855.50 Mbps for upload and 801.85 Mbps for download. International speeds varied, with Amsterdam showing strong performance at 845.93 Mbps upload and 404.89 Mbps download, while Singapore had the lowest upload speed at 107.14 Mbps.
The Yabs Performance Bench showed improved disk speeds, with mixed read/write speeds reaching 534.78 MB/s at the 1m block size, indicating good performance. Geekbench 6 results revealed a Single Core score of 852 and a Multi Core score of 1514, which are standard and satisfactory for general purposes.
During UnixBench testing, the server demonstrated solid CPU performance. The system benchmarks index score of 1368.7 reflects decent multitasking and processing capabilities, with high scores in tasks like shell scripting and file copying.
In conclusion, while the I/O speed needs improvement, the OneProvider server offers reliable network performance and satisfactory CPU capabilities for the price. It’s suitable for users seeking cost-effective hosting with decent overall performance.
