Zenlayer Spain Madrid High-Performance Dedicated Virtual Machine Test and Review
We recently tested the Zenlayer Spain Madrid High-Performance Dedicated vCPU Virtual Machine (Plan: h.2c4g). This server runs on an Intel Xeon Processor (Cascadelake) and features 2 CPU cores, 4 GB RAM, a 40 GB standard disk, a 1000 Mbps internet port, and 1 IPv4 address.
Our review covers several tests: Basic Benchmark, Yabs, and Unix Benchmark for performance checks, Global Node Test for network speeds in different locations, and Global Ping Test for latency. We also ran the Media Unlock Test for media access and the Cloudflare Internet Test for connection quality and assessed web performance using PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix.

Conclusion
In our Basic Benchmark tests, the server showed impressive network performance, with upload speeds reaching 1057.61 Mbps and download speeds up to 1270.78 Mbps. However, the I/O speed averaged 139.7 MB/s, considered poor and may affect disk-intensive tasks.
The Yabs Performance Benchmark confirmed moderate disk performance, with read and write speeds hovering around 196 MB/s for larger block sizes. This reinforces the need for improvement in I/O speeds for better disk operations.
The Geekbench 6 Benchmark Test highlighted strong CPU capabilities, scoring 1175 in single-core and 2128 in multi-core tests, both considered excellent. UnixBench results further supported this, showing high scores across various CPU performance metrics.
In conclusion, the Zenlayer server excels in CPU and network performance, making it ideal for applications that require high connectivity and processing power. However, its poor I/O speed could limit its effectiveness for tasks relying heavily on disk speed.
