Vultr United Kingdom Manchester General Purpose Cloud Dedicated Server Test and Review
We recently tested the Vultr UK Manchester General Purpose Cloud Dedicated Server (Plan: 50 GB NVMe). It runs on an AMD EPYC-Rome Processor with 2 CPU cores, 8 GB RAM, 50 GB NVMe SSD storage, a 5 Gbps internet port, and 5 TB of traffic, and includes both an IPv4 and an IPv6 address.
Our review covers several tests: Basic Benchmark, Yabs, and Unix Benchmark for performance, Global Node Test for network speeds across locations, and Global Ping Test for latency. We also check media access with The Media Unlock Test, connection quality with the CloudFlare Internet Test, and web performance using PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix.

Conclusion
In our Basic Benchmark tests, the server’s I/O speeds impressed us with an average of 856 MB/s, which is considered good. The upload and download speeds were also remarkable, reaching nearly 9 Gbps locally. Internationally, it maintained strong connectivity, with speeds of 7.4 Gbps to Amsterdam and 4 Gbps to Shanghai.
The Yabs Performance Bench showed solid disk speeds, with read and write operations reaching up to 3.78 GB/s. The Geekbench 6 scores were excellent, with a single-core score of 1704 and a multi-core score of 3093, indicating robust CPU performance.
UnixBench results further highlighted the server’s capabilities, with a System Benchmarks Index Score of 2037.8. High scores in Dhrystone and Whetstone tests confirmed its strong computational power, making it suitable for multitasking and demanding workloads.
