We recently tested the netcup Austria Vienna High-quality Dedicated Resources Root Server (Plan: RS 2000 G11). It runs on an AMD EPYC 9634 84-core Processor with 8 CPU cores, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB NVMe SSD storage, a 2.5 Gbps internet port, unlimited traffic, and both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.

In our Basic Benchmark tests, the server’s I/O speed averaged 606.7 MB/s, which falls into the “good” category. The upload and download speeds varied by location, with impressive results like 2,560.72 Mbps upload and 2,369.83 Mbps download in Amsterdam. Latency remained low, ensuring quick response times.
