Kamatera Germany Frankfurt Type A Intel Xeon Platinum 8358P Cloud Server Test and Review

We recently reviewed the Kamatera Frankfurt Type A High-Performance Cloud Server. This server uses a powerful Intel Xeon Platinum 8358P processor at 2.60GHz. Here are its specs: 2 CPU cores, 4 GB RAM, 50 GB SSD storage, a 1 Gbps internet connection, and one IPv4 address.

Our evaluation covered a range of tests. We conducted performance tests using Basic Benchmark, Yabs, and Unix Benchmark. We ran the Global Node Test for network speed across different locations and measured latency with the Global Ping Test.

Additionally, we checked media accessibility through The Media Unlock Test and connection quality via the CloudFlare Internet Test. We also assessed web performance using tools like PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix.

In our testing, we found impressive results across various performance metrics. The Basic Bench tests showed that the server consistently delivered high I/O speeds, averaging about 1297.1 MB/s—well into the excellent range.

On the Yabs Performance Bench, disk speed tests displayed phenomenal mixed read/write speeds, with peaks going beyond 10 GB/s for larger blocks, underlining the server’s high performance in handling data-intensive tasks.

The Geekbench 6 results further reinforced this, showing a single-core score of 1285 and a multi-core score of 2315, both above standard expectations and indicating good processing power.

The UnixBench scores also emphasized the server’s robust CPU performance across various functions like script execution and context switching, achieving a high index score of 1550.0 when running two parallel copies of tests, which reflects superior operational efficiency.

In conclusion, the Kamatera Frankfurt Type A server performs well, particularly in processing speed and data handling capabilities. Whether for web hosting, data processing, or running complex applications, this server offers reliable and high-speed performance, likely satisfying the needs of the most demanding business environments.
