Gcore Uzbekistan Tashkent Intel Xeon Unlimited Traffic Standard Cloud VPS Test and Review
We recently conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the Gcore Uzbekistan Tashkent Unlimited Traffic Standard Cloud VPS, which features an Intel Xeon Processor (Skylake, IBRS), 2 CPU cores, 4 GB of RAM, 50 GB SSD storage, a 1 Gbps internet port, 20 TB of traffic capacity, and an IPv4 address.
In our review, we ran several tests. We used Basic Benchmark, Yabs, and Unix Benchmark to check performance. We tested network speeds across different locations using the Global Node Test and measured latency with the Global Ping Test. For media accessibility, we tried the Media Unlock Test. We also checked connection quality with the CloudFlare Internet Test and evaluated web performance using PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix.

Admin Control Panel
Let’s dive into the world of Gcore Cloud’s Admin Control Panel.
Firstly, the Admin Control Panel is a unique creation by the Gcore development team. It integrates seamlessly with Gcore’s products, including CDN, Streaming, Storage, DDoS Protection, and DNS Hosting. This integration allows you to set up, manage, and get support for your entire Gcore experience in one place.
Secondly, the Admin Control Panel offers a feature to connect to a virtual instance using the VNC console. This feature is available for both Windows and Linux instances. It allows you to establish a connection even if an instance has no Internet access. This proves particularly useful if you need to fix Internet connectivity issues.
Thirdly, the Admin Control Panel provides a way to manage clients and sellers, view reports, and configure branding and service visibility settings. This improved dashboard enhances the management experience.

Payments
Gcore Cloud operates on a PAYG (pay-as-you-go) billing plan. This means you only pay for the amount of time you use their Cloud resources. They charge resources per minute.
To start using Cloud services, add at least €4/$4 to your balance. When your expenses reach €4/$4, the system deducts this amount from your balance. If your balance has insufficient funds, the system charges this amount using the added payment method.
The service gets suspended if the payment fails from your Gcore balance and the added payment method. If you don’t top up your balance within the next seven days, basic VMs will be deleted. Other cloud resources associated with your account will be deleted in 30 days.
Moreover, Gcore Cloud supports payments via PayPal, bank transfer, bank card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Union Pay), and Alipay.

Customer Support
Gcore Cloud’s technical support is available 24/7 all over the globe. This means you can always contact them for assistance no matter where or when you are available.
You can reach them via email at [email protected]. You can submit a ticket to the Gcore Help Center if you prefer a more direct approach.
They also offer a chat option in the Gcore Help Center or Customer Portal. If you’re more comfortable with messaging apps, drop a message to their WhatsApp number: +352 208 80 507. Lastly, if you prefer to speak to someone directly, call them at +352 208 80 507 for the EU and +1 888 4148 646 for the USA.
Conclusion
During the Basic Bench tests, the server’s I/O speeds were notably poor, consistently under 40 MB/s across multiple runs, significantly below the acceptable performance threshold for SSDs. However, results were mixed when assessed for internet speeds across global nodes. The server showed excellent upload speeds exceeding 8930 Mbps to a speedtest.net node and performed fairly well in download speed and latency in multiple international locations, except for extremely low speeds noted in Hong Kong.
In specialized testing, the Yabs Performance Bench indicated weak mixed read/write speeds around 61-66 MB/s for larger blocks, which is less than ideal for demanding applications. The Geekbench 6 scores painted a better picture, with single-core and multi-core scores falling into the ‘good’ category at 1059 and 1890, respectively. Lastly, the UnixBench results provided detailed insights into the CPU’s capabilities, showing strong performance metrics, especially when running multiple parallel operations, with a notable increase in performance when doubling the number of test copies.
Conclusively, while the Gcore Uzbekistan VPS shows competent CPU performance and excellent internet bandwidth capabilities, its disk I/O performance is a weakness that could impede applications requiring high disk throughput. This mixture of high and low-performance areas suggests that the server might be best suited for tasks that rely more on processing power and network speed than disk-intensive operations.
