VPSie United States Los Angeles Compute Optimized Cloud Server Test and Review
We recently reviewed the VPSie United States Los Angeles Compute Optimized Cloud Server, which boasts a KVM processor setup, 1 Core CPU, 2 GB of RAM, 40 GB SSD for storage, and a 100 Mbps internet port. It handles up to 2 TB of data transfer and includes an IPv4 and IPv6 address for comprehensive connectivity.
Our team started with the Basic Benchmark, Yabs, and Unix Benchmark to assess the server’s performance. To check how the server does across different locations, we conducted the Global Node Test for network speed and the Global Ping Test to measure response times.
For those interested in media streaming capabilities, we looked at these through the Media Unlock Test. We also evaluated connection quality with the CloudFlare Internet Test and analyzed web performance using PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix.
About VPSie
VPSie is an acronym for ‘Virtual Private Server I Expect,’ perfectly encapsulating their mission of delivering top-notch VPS solutions. Founded in the United States, VPSie has grown to operate four data centers nationwide and has recently expanded to Amsterdam to cater to a European audience.
Now, let’s talk about what makes VPSie unique. Unlike many other providers offering many services, VPSie focuses solely on VPS hosting. This laser-focused approach allows them to deliver high-performance VPS products running SSD storage.
One of the standout features of VPSie is its intuitive control panel. It provides extensive administrative control, allowing you to easily manage all aspects of your server. You can install software like cPanel, WordPress, Gitlab, and different operating systems from this control panel with just a click.
Another impressive feature is the speed at which you can get your server up and running. With VPSie, you can spin up a VPS in under a minute. This is a testament to their commitment to providing efficient and hassle-free solutions.
VPSie also takes data protection seriously. They use VPN or PCS technology to safeguard your data. Moreover, their control panel provides powerful backup tools that you can configure to handle backups automatically or manually.

Admin Control Panel
VPSie dashboard is intuitive and user-friendly. It provides extensive administrative control, allowing you to manage all aspects of your server. This includes creating, cloning, accessing the console, deleting, and restoring.
Now, let’s talk about creating a VPS. You can quickly create a VPS server by selecting a plan, choosing a data center, picking an operating system, and typing a hostname. After these steps, you click ‘Create VPSie,’ and your server will be up in about 30 seconds.
Transitioning to the management aspect, the main dashboard displays all your active VPSie instances, powered on and off. You can click on any of them for granular management, which includes console access, password reset, network changes, backups, snapshot options, and activity logs.
Console access is another noteworthy feature. It opens up a connection to your VPSie as if you are in front of a physical server using a keyboard and mouse. You can access this feature from the VPS Control Panel.
You can delete your VPSie, but be aware that this will destroy your VPSie, files, and all associated backups. The process might take up to 8 minutes.
Lastly, the rebuild task is a powerful feature. It destroys your VPSie, files, and all associated backups, resulting in a fresh build of the original image you selected when you created your VPSie. This task is particularly useful if you want to change the underlying operating system while keeping the same IP unchanged.
