UpCloud Sweden Stockholm AMD EPYC 7543 General Purpose Cloud Server Test and Review
This time, we’re putting the UpCloud Sweden Stockholm General Purpose Cloud Server to the test. An AMD EPYC 7543 32-core Processor powers it and comes equipped with a solid setup: 4 CPU cores, 8 GB RAM, 160 GB of NVMe SSD storage, a 1 Gbps internet port, 5 TB of traffic, and both one IPv4 and one IPv6 address.
We’ll cover a variety of tests in our review. To understand the essential metrics, we’re looking at three key benchmarks: Basic, Yabs, and Unix. We’ll dive into network performance with the Global Node Test and check how quickly it responds to the Global Ping Test.
For media fans, we’ll see what content you can access with the Media Unlock Test while connection quality gets scrutinized in the CloudFlare Internet Test. Lastly, we’ll assess web performance using PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix Performance to see how fast and efficient the server is.

Conclusion
Starting with the Basic Bench test, the server showed consistent I/O speeds of around 372 MB/s across multiple runs, which indicates good performance. Its network capabilities shone in various locations worldwide, delivering high upload speeds near the 1 Gbps mark and impressive download speeds with remarkably low latency in most tested regions.
The Yabs performance bench further highlighted its capabilities, especially in mixed read/write operations, showing strengths in handling small and large block sizes. Although its I/O speed didn’t break the 1,000 MB/s threshold for excellence, it still performed admirably.
The Geekbench 6 results were promising, with a single-core score of 1474, marking it as good, and a multi-core score of 4669. The UnixBench results underscored the server’s solid CPU performance, particularly when running parallel copies of tests, which showed the server’s ability to handle high workloads efficiently.
In conclusion, the UpCloud Sweden Stockholm server demonstrates strong performance across a broad range of benchmarks, making it a solid choice for various hosting needs. While its I/O speed sits in the good category, its network performance and CPU capabilities stand out, particularly for businesses looking to manage heavy workloads or global operations with minimal latency. This server is a robust and reliable option for those prioritizing efficient and powerful web hosting solutions.
