v6Node Germany Frankfurt AMD EPYC 7542 General Purpose Virtual Machine Test and Review
We recently checked out the v6Node Germany Frankfurt server, which is pretty powerful. It runs on an AMD EPYC processor with 32 cores and uses a setup that includes 6 CPU cores, 16 GB of memory, 140 GB of SSD storage, and a 1 Gbps internet connection. It comes with 16 TB of data transfer. Plus, it has both an IPv4 and IPv6 address.
Our team tested the server to see what it’s made of. We started with performance checks like Basic Benchmark, Yabs, and Unix Benchmark to see the fundamental stats. To look at how it connected worldwide with the Global Node Test for its network power and timed its reaction speed with the Global Ping Test.
We also checked whether it can access media from different regions with the Media Unlock Test and tested the connection quality through the CloudFlare Internet Test. Lastly, we measured its web speed and reliability using PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix Performance tools.
About v6Node
v6Node is a modern web hosting platform that offers affordable IPv6 nodes. The platform is designed to provide a cost-effective solution for individuals and businesses leveraging the benefits of IPv6 connectivity.
The platform offers various services, including compute nodes, storage nodes, and web applications. Compute nodes are general-purpose instances that start at €1 per month. These nodes are ideal for running various applications, from web servers to VPNs. Storage nodes are coming soon and designed for applications that depend heavily on storage. The web applications service is a modern web hosting platform that starts at €5 per month.
One of the unique features of v6Node is its focus on IPv6 connectivity. All nodes on the platform come equipped with native IPv6 connectivity. However, thanks to DNS64 and NAT64, users can still access IPv4-only resources on the Internet.
The platform is powered by reliable KVM virtualization and the latest hardware. This ensures robust performance and reliability for all nodes. The platform also offers simple management tools, allowing users to manage their nodes easily.
v6Node also offers a free reverse proxy service. This service allows users to host their applications under their domain name, secured with SSL and available for IPv4 and IPv6 clients. The reverse proxy service supports as many domains as users, allowing them to proxy multiple applications on different ports.

Get Started with v6Node
Getting started with v6Node is quite straightforward. Here are the steps:
- Visit the v6Node.com website: You can start by visiting their official website.
- Choose a Node: They offer a variety of node configurations, including different CPU, RAM, and Disk options. Choose the one that best suits your needs.
- Sign Up: You will need to create an account to get started. You can sign in with Github or log in with mail.
- Deploy Your Node: Their in-house developed control panel offers a simple and user-friendly node management interface. You can deploy your node in a few seconds.
- Payment: You can pay with Apple/ Google Pay, all major credit/debit cards, and SEPA direct debit.
Remember, all nodes come preconfigured with a NAT64 DNS server, allowing you to reach IPv4-only servers like Github. This only works for outgoing traffic. If your application is HTTP/S based, they provide a reverse proxy with full IPv4 + IPv6 support.
Admin Control Panel
v6Node cloud admin control panel is designed to be simple and user-friendly. It’s developed in-house, which means it’s tailored specifically to the needs of v6Nodeusers. Here are some key features of the control panel:
- Ease of Use: The control panel offers a straightforward interface that easily manages your nodes.
- Quick Deployment: You can get an IPv6 cloud server up and running within minutes.
- Server Management: The control panel provides all the tools you need to manage your node.
- OS Templates: The control panel offers minimal cloud images provided directly by the distribution.
This control panel is part of what makes v6Node a competitive choice for those seeking affordable IPv6 nodes. It simplifies managing your cloud resources, allowing you to focus on what matters most: your projects.

Conclusion
The server’s data transfer and handling capabilities were impressive; it consistently showed strong input/output speeds, averaging 576.7 MB/s across three runs. Its connectivity with various global locations was tested, demonstrating high upload and download speeds with low latency, particularly within Europe. For example, speeds up to 7312.66 Mbps upload in Paris and 6407.47 Mbps download with a mere 7.82 ms latency on Speedtest.net.
The Yabs performance benchmark returned strong results, highlighting the server’s capable mixed read/write operations, offering high transfer rates in the GB per second range, particularly on larger block sizes. The Geekbench 6 tests further validated the server’s efficiency with a single-core score of 1408 and a multi-core score of 6205, reflecting a sturdy and responsive application performance.
UnixBench benchmarks showed that the server’s CPU and system capabilities perform exceptionally well when only one test is run simultaneously and even when multiple tests are carried out simultaneously. The results were multiple times over the baseline values, underscoring a high-capacity processing performance.
In conclusion, the v6Node Germany Frankfurt server delivers robust performance. With its excellent data handling, substantial network throughput, and powerful CPU capabilities, this server is well-suited for various tasks, from hosting dynamic websites to running complex applications. Its performance across global tests shows it is a reliable choice for users who need a strong presence in European and international markets.
