We recently tested HyperHost‘s basic VDS server in Kyiv, Ukraine. This server is equipped with a robust Intel Xeon E5-2667 v2 processor at 3.30GHz, and it’s set up with a decent amount of power: 3 CPU cores, 5GB of memory, 80GB of SSD storage, a 100 Mbps connection, 2TB of data transfer, and both an IPv4 and IPv6 address.
Our review involved a bunch of different tests. We looked at basic performance using standard benchmarks, checked network quality globally and measured how quickly it responded to pings. We also tested whether it could stream media from different regions, examined how well it connected through CloudFlare, and assessed how quickly websites loaded with tools like PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix.

Conclusion
Starting with the Basic Bench test, we monitored the server’s input/output (I/O) speeds over three runs, averaging 343.0 MB/s. This I/O pace gives us a glimpse into how quickly the server can read and write data—a crucial factor for performance. Network speed didn’t lag far behind either, hitting near the 100 Mbps mark for both uploads and downloads across various global locations, demonstrating decent connectivity with minimal latency in most nodes tested.
Looking at the Yabs Performance Bench, which measures the server’s mixed read/write operations, the server exhibited strong performance across different file sizes. Whether dealing with small 4k blocks or larger 1m blocks, the server maintained a high throughput, with the mixed operations peaking at 920.20 MB/s in the larger block test.
The Geekbench and UnixBench scores provided further insights into the CPU’s capabilities. Single and multi-core performance was on par with expectations, with the UnixBench score reflecting the server’s capacity to handle parallel tasks efficiently, scoring 917.6 when running a single instance and 1600.4 with two parallel instances.
