HostVDS Russia Moscow Intel Xeon Highload Cloud Server Test and Review
We recently reviewed the HostVDS Russia Moscow Highload Cloud VDS Server. It’s equipped with an Intel Xeon E3-12xx v2 processor and comes with a solid setup: 4 CPU cores, 16GB of RAM, 80GB of SSD storage, a fast 1Gbps network port, 10TB of data transfer allowance, and a single IPv4 address.
Our team ran a series of standard benchmarks to measure the server’s basic performance. We also checked network performance across different locations and measured how quickly the server responds to global requests.
Additionally, we tested how well it accesses various regional content, evaluated the quality of its connection with CloudFlare, and looked at how fast web pages load using tools like PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix.

Conclusion
The Basic Bench test demonstrated consistent input/output (I/O) performance with an average speed of 292.2 MB/s. Network performance varied significantly across different global locations, with the best upload speed (1031.42 Mbps) occurring locally via Speedtest.net and the best download speed (163.38 Mbps) achieved in Singapore. Despite global distances, latency remained low in European tests but became considerably higher when connecting to Asian locations.
Yabs performance benchmarks showed strong read/write capabilities, peaking at 1.20 GB/s when using larger block sizes of 1M for mixed operations. The UnixBench scores provided a detailed look at the CPU prowess, with the single-tasking tests scoring a system index score of 545.4, while the multi-tasking scenario, utilizing all 4 CPU cores, achieved a significantly higher score of 1705.1, showcasing the server’s capability to handle parallel tasks efficiently.
To conclude, the HostVDS Moscow server displays impressive capability in handling intensive workloads with high I/O and CPU performance. The network speed and latency results indicate a reliable performance in nearby locations, although with varying results globally. This server is well-suited for high-demand applications and demonstrates the potential to be a strong performer, especially in European markets.
