Cloud Forest Romania Buzau Enterprise Intel Xeon Cloud VPS Test and Review
Thanks to the Cloud Forest team offering this opportunity, Our evaluation of the Romania Buzau Enterprise VPS, equipped with an Intel Xeon processor, covered a variety of key performance indicators. The hardware setup included a 4-core CPU, 8 GB of RAM, 50 GB SSD storage, a 1 Gbps internet connection, and a single IPv4 address.
Our review has several checks: we used basic benchmarks, Yabs, and the Unix Benchmark to measure core performance. We ran the Global Node Test to test the network and checked how quick the ping times were. We also examined whether the server could access content in different regions with the Media Unlock Test.
To check internet connection quality, we used the CloudFlare Internet Test. Lastly, we evaluated website loading speed using PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix Performance.

Cloud Forest all servers are built on Intel® Xeon® Silver 4309Y processors with 8 cores and 16 threads. With a base clock speed of 2.8GHz per core, capable of reaching up to 3.60GHz through Intel SpeedStep® technology, it outperforms most processors in the Intel Xeon E5 range, often used in hosting service infrastructures.
Cloud Forest utilizes multiple memory modules in each server, with an individual storage capacity of 32GB, utilizing DDR4 RDIMM technology. This provides greater bandwidth and faster transfer speeds compared to DDR3. Additionally, the RAM module has a clock speed of 3200MHz, making it ideal for data-intensive processing tasks and advanced video gaming.
To ensure the safety of your data, Cloud Forest stores all data independently from servers on Dell PowerVault ME5 equipment, providing redundancy in the highly unlikely event of any server failure.

Conclusion
The Basic Bench tests showed consistent I/O speeds of around 126 MB/s, with high upload speeds reaching up to 900 Mbps and download speeds averaging above 250 Mbps across global locations. Latency, measured by milliseconds, varied greatly depending on the location, with the best response times under 60 ms in European cities.
In more detailed testing, the Yabs Performance Bench showed mixed read-write operations with impressive speeds for small to large block sizes. This highlights the server’s ability to efficiently handle various operations from small to large-scale data transfers.
The Geekbench tests gave us a broader view of the computational performance with single and multi-core scores of 1385 and 4005, respectively. These figures suggest a strong processing capability for various tasks.
UnixBench presented a detailed CPU performance overview, with the server scoring above expectations in tests that ranged from arithmetic operations to system call functions.
