WishHost Netherlands Amsterdam AMD EPYC 7402P KVM VPS Server Test and Review
We recently tested WishHost‘s speedy and efficient VPS server in the Netherlands. It runs on a powerful AMD EPYC processor with 24 cores. The server setup includes a 4-core CPU, 6 GB of RAM, 50 GB of SSD storage, a fast 1 Gbps internet connection, and 20 TB of data transfer allowance. Plus, it comes with one IPv4 and one IPv6 address.
To evaluate the server, we ran a bunch of different tests. We checked its basic performance using standard benchmarks, looked at its speed with Yabs, and measured its computing power with Unix Benchmark. We conducted the Global Node Test to check the network’s reach and speed and pinged the server from different locations using the Global Ping Test.
Our team also tested how well it can access various media worldwide and how stable and quality its connection is with Cloudflare’s Internet Test. Finally, we used PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix Performance to see how fast and smooth websites would run on them.

During the basic benchmark, the server showed consistent I/O speeds averaging 431.7 MB/s – that’s how quickly it can read and write data. Our network tests revealed impressive upload and download speeds, especially within Europe, with top speeds over 900 Mbps and ultra-low latency as low as 2.34 ms in Amsterdam. However, speeds were slower and latency higher in distant locations like Tokyo and Singapore.
The Yabs test mixed reading and writing operations and showed that the server could handle them at speeds ranging from 56.67 MB/s on smaller 4k blocks to an impressive 521.35 MB/s on 1m blocks. In Geekbench’s metrics, the server scored 1227 for single-core tasks and 3915 in multi-core – reflecting a solid performance across the board.
The UnixBench scores – which measure the server’s CPU performance – gave high marks, too. For single tasks, the server’s power was 1817.5 times the benchmark, and for tasks running in parallel, it was even more impressive at 3139.7.
