SpectraIP Netherlands Amsterdam AMD EPYC-Milan Cloud VPS Test and Review
We recently tested Amsterdam‘s SpectraIP Cloud VPS server, running on a powerful AMD EPYC-Milan processor. Here are its specs: it’s got a 4-core CPU, 8 GB of memory, 160 GB of SSD storage, 1 Gbps network speed, 15 TB of bandwidth, and one IPv4 and one IPv6 address.
To check its performance, we ran a bunch of tests. We started with some basic speed and performance checks. Then, we stepped it up with detailed network tests to see how well it connects with different parts of the world. Our team also checked how long it takes to respond to a ping, like measuring reaction time.
We tested whether the server can access media from various regions for content viewing. We looked at connection quality with CloudFlare’s tools and tested how quickly web pages load using PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix.

Conclusion
We ran a suite of I/O tests for raw performance, achieving an average of 895.3 MB/s. Network capabilities were impressive, with download speeds peaking at 2687.25 Mbps in Amsterdam and upload speeds hitting a high mark with 1057.26 Mbps in Mumbai, among varied performances worldwide. The latency was lowest locally in Amsterdam at 1.72 ms, with the highest in Singapore at 254.31 ms.
We threw mixed read/write tests at the system using Yabs and found that the server didn’t flinch. Block size tests showed speeds upwards of 703.97 MB/s for smaller files and a notable jump to 5.09 GB/s for larger files. The Geekbench 6 benchmark gave us a solid single-core score 1712 and an even more impressive multi-core score of 5269.
The UnixBench gave us a comprehensive overview of the CPU’s prowess. Running 4 parallel copies of the test, scores ranged from excellent for scripting (6662.4 for 1 concurrent shell script) to outstanding in processes such as systemic call overhead (2394.3).
In conclusion, SpectraIP’s VPS server in Amsterdam showcases strong performance across the board. It’s fast and reliable, capable of handling local and international tasks. Networking speeds are top-notch, CPU performance is robust, and it can access various media content – albeit with some regional restrictions. All said it’s a capable server that should meet the needs of demanding web projects.
