Conclusion
Our first set of tests focused on basic benchmarks. We checked how fast it could read and write data (I/O) three times and found it averaged around 861 MB/s — pretty fast for most needs. We also looked at upload and download speeds to various international locations, with most clocking impressive Gbps-level speeds and decent latency times. However, some more distant locations like Shanghai and Singapore recorded lower speeds.
Then we went deeper with the Yabs Performance Bench, measuring mixed read/write operations, and our server didn’t disappoint, offering up speeds over 1 GB/s even at larger block sizes. We also hit the server with the UnixBench test to see how the CPU handled stress. It scored high across the board, doing particularly well when all 16 CPUs were fired up at once.
Finally, we conducted a Media Unlock Test to see how the server handled various international services. Results indicated that while the server had good regional access in the Netherlands and successfully accessed local versions of popular streaming services, it showed limited global access for certain services.
In conclusion, the SpectraIP server in Amsterdam is robust, with high processing power and fast I/O operations, making it a solid choice for demanding web hosting needs. It boasts fast network connectivity, especially within Europe, but connections to distant countries may vary. While it does well in regional content unlocking, there may be some limitations for global media access. All in all, for tasks that demand high performance and stability, this server is up to the task.
