Aquatis Netherlands Amsterdam Intel Xeon Gold 6140 High Ram KVM VPS Test and Review
We’ve recently reviewed the Aquatis High RAM VPS hosting from Amsterdam, Netherlands. This server runs on a powerful Intel Xeon Gold 6140 CPU at 2.30GHz. It’s set up with 2 CPU cores, 16 GB of memory, 40 GB SSD storage, a fast 1 Gbps internet connection, 2 TB data transfer per month, and one IPv4 and one IPv6 address.
For our evaluation, we started with the Basic Benchmark, Yabs, and Unix Benchmark, which look into key performance areas. Then, we checked out the server’s global network reach using the Global Node Test and the Global Ping Test.
We also tested how well it can access content from different regions with the Media Unlock Test. Our checks on internet connection quality involved the CloudFlare test, while tools like PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix gave us deeper insights into its web performance.

In our initial Basic Bench tests, the VPS delivered high input/output speeds with an average of 918.7 MB/s and robust upload/download speeds, peaking at 890.97 Mbps download speed via Speedtest.net with exceptionally low latency. The server maintained good connectivity with various global locations, though speeds varied with geography, as expected. Performance remained solid in major cities, with notable slowdowns in areas farther from the server location, like Singapore and some cities in China.
Extended testing with Yabs revealed strong mixed read/write operations, hitting totals of up to 2.14 GB/s for larger block sizes, which speaks to the server’s capability of handling data-intensive tasks. The UnixBench results complemented this by showing the server’s CPU could perform well under load, nearly doubling its performance when running two parallel tests.
