LevelOneServers United States Dallas Intel Xeon E5-2665 KVM VPS Hosting Test and Review
To evaluate its performance, we tested the LevelOneServers VPS hosted in Dallas. This server benefits from robust hardware, including an Intel Xeon E5-2665 processor clocking in at 2.40GHz, 8 GB of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD for storage. It also has a high-speed 1 Gbps internet port, 1 TB bandwidth, and IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.
In our review, we ran many tests to see how this server holds up. We used simple benchmarks and two tools, Yabs and Unix Benchmark, to check its basic power. For network quality, we looked at how well it connects across the globe and how quickly it responds using Global Node and Ping Tests.
We did the Media Unlock Test to check if you can access regional content. We also tested the server’s connection with Cloudflare Internet Test, and to see how fast websites would load, we used PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix.

In more intensive testing, disk I/O speeds measured through the Yabs Performance Bench revealed consistent and speedy read and write operations across different block sizes. For example, the server handled mixed read/write operations at speeds up to 303.25 MB/s for a 64k block size. The Geekbench test gave us single and multi-core scores of 375 and 695, respectively, offering a glimpse into the server’s processing capabilities.
UnixBench scores, which assess CPU performance, indicated significant power, especially when two CPUs were used in parallel. Scores were more than double when two copies of the tests ran concurrently, with Dhrystone and Whetstone’s tests showing impressive computational performance.
The Media Unlock Test was the final puzzle piece, providing insight into the server’s geographic reach for content services. The server successfully accessed various streaming services and showed it was set up with U.S. region settings based on its ability to unlock U.S. content on platforms like Dazn and HotStar. However, some services like Disney+ and Viu.com were restricted.
