Rackdog United Kingdom London Intel Xeon Unmetered Bandwidth Cloud Server Test and Review
We recently checked out Rackdog‘s cloud server in London, UK, which boasts unlimited bandwidth. It’s running on a solid Intel Xeon Processor with a decent setup: it has a 2-core CPU, 4 GB of memory, 60 GB of fast SSD storage, a speedy 10 Gbps internet connection, no limits on data usage, and comes with a single IPv4 address.
Our review covered a bunch of tests. We ran performance tests (Basic Benchmark, Yabs, and Unix Benchmark) to see how the server handles everyday tasks. We checked network performance from various locations (Global Node Test) and measured how quickly the server responds (Global Ping Test).
Finally, we examined whether the server could access media from different regions (Media Unlock Test), tested its connection quality through CloudFlare, and gauged webpage performance with tools like PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix.

Conclusion
Our tests showed mixed results. For instance, the server displayed strong and consistent input/output operations, averaging 793.3 MB/s. Network speed tests across various global locations revealed some variability: while connections were blazing fast to European cities like Paris and Amsterdam, speeds dramatically dropped in parts of China and teetered off in other Asian regions. Latencies also varied, from a responsive 9 ms in Amsterdam to a slower 255.91 ms in Chongqing, China.
The mixed read/write disk speed tests gave us highs of 1.59 GB/s, showing the server’s rapid data handling capabilities. The Geekbench 6 benchmark offered scores underlining the server’s solid performance for single and multi-core operations.
Operating system-level assessments through UnixBench revealed high-end performance with an index score substantially over the baseline, indicating this server is more than capable of heavy multitasking and complex processing tasks.
