OneProvider United States Miami Hourly Billing VPS Server Test and Review
We will try out a virtual private server (VPS) hosted in Miami, USA, from OneProvider. This server uses a powerful AMD EPYC processor and comes with the following specifications:
- 2 CPU cores
- 4 GB of memory
- 20 GB of SSD storage
- 1 Gbps internet connection
- Allows 3 TB of data transfer
- Includes one IPv4 address
Here’s how we’re going to test this server’s performance:
1. Basic Performance: We’ll start with simple benchmark tests to measure the server’s performance.
2. Speed and Reliability: Tests like Yabs and Unix Benchmark will help us evaluate the server’s speed and reliability for day-to-day tasks.
3. Network Quality: We’ll use the Global Node Test to check how the server communicates with different networks worldwide, and the Global Ping Test will tell us about the server’s response times.
4. Content Availability: With the Media Unlock Test, we’ll see if there are any restrictions on what content the server can access, depending on where it’s located.
5. Internet Connection: We’ll test the connection quality to CloudFlare’s services to understand overall internet performance.
6. Website Performance: Finally, we’ll use tools like PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix Performance to see how well this server can handle website traffic and loading speeds.
By the end of these tests, we should have a good idea of how the Miami VPS performs under different scenarios.

Conclusion
As measured by I/O speed, the server’s disk performance hovered around an average of 228 MB/s. Network performance was notable, with upload speeds peaking at over 9 Gbps and download speeds at around 7.3 Gbps when tested with Speedtest.net, though speeds varied significantly with geographical distance, as expected. Latency was excellent in the local tests and increased with the distance to the test servers, the highest being in Asia.
Furthermore, Yabs benchmarks revealed consistent mixed read-write speeds, and Geekbench 6 scores illustrated credible CPU performance, with single and multi-core scores at 856 and 1545, respectively. Moreover, a suite of UnixBench tests showed the server could handle high-value tasks efficiently, scoring 1394.3 on the test’s index score when running with 2 parallel copies.
The Media Unlock Tests showed mixed results; the server successfully provided access to various US-based services such as Dazn, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube Premium. However, it didn’t support HotStar, Disney+, or in-country preference for Netflix, which means the content was restricted to Netflix Originals only.
In conclusion, OneProvider’s Miami VPS server stands out with impressive I/O throughput, excellent network speeds, and good CPU performance that is consistent with what one would expect from its hardware configuration.
While it’s well-suited for handling tasks requiring high-speed and robust processing power, its media unlocking capabilities are limited to certain regions. This server could be an excellent choice for businesses with high data transfer and processing needs, though users aiming for extensive global media access might find some limitations.
