Conclusion

Our testing commenced with a Basic Benchmark, which assessed the I/O speed, delivering an average of 130.3 MB/s. This was gauged through three runs ranging from 109 MB/s to 163 MB/s. Furthermore, the server exhibited robust network performance on the Speedtest.net spectrum, with both upload and download speeds maintaining near the upper limit of 100 Mbps across numerous geographical locations.

The Yabs performance bench showed impressive mixed R/W speeds, with readings at 1.71 GB/s for the larger 1m block size and 511.81 MB/s at a smaller 4k block. This shows the server’s ability to handle varying levels of data traffic effectively. The Geekbench 6 benchmark test showed solid single and multi-core scores of 894 and 1616, respectively, suggesting commendable processing power.

The UnixBench test painted a detailed picture of CPU performance. It revealed a strong I/O throughput, showcasing impressive results across various tests, including file-copy speeds, pipe throughput, processing creation, and system-call overhead. The System Benchmarks Index Score for one parallel test was an impressive 924.5, which boosted to 1747.5 when running two parallel copies of tests, indicating excellent multi-threading capability.

Lastly, the Media Unlock test result was a mixed bag: while Dazn, Amazon Prime Video, and TVBAnywhere+ revealed regional access in Amsterdam, platforms like Hotstar, Disney+, and Viu.com, sadly, did not. However, note that this can be contingent on the individual agreements of these services and regional laws and not a definitive performance parameter for the server.

In conclusion, the VPS.One virtual Private Server in Amsterdam offers a solid blend of performance, network speed, and CPU handling. While its media unlocking capabilities were not universal, it performed well in critical processing areas, network speed, and data handling benchmarks. With its potent specs and compelling test results, we found it a reliable option for businesses looking for a versatile and powerful VPS solution.
