SkylonHost Czech Republic Prague AMD Ryzen 9 5900X NVMe VPS Server Test and Review
This review will thoroughly evaluate the SkylonHost Czech Republic Prague-based AMD Ryzen NVMe Virtual Private Server (VPS). The server in question utilizes an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core processor, with resources allocated as follows: 2 CPU cores, 3 GB RAM, 40 GB SSD Storage, networking includes 500Mbps internet port, 15 TB of Traffic, 1xIPv4 address, and 1xIPv6 address.
Our critically thorough analysis includes many robust tests to measure diverse aspects of the server’s capabilities. Firstly, we will execute the Basic Benchmark, Yabs, and Unix Benchmark tests to gauge the essential performance metrics.
Next, we will run the Global Node Test to comprehensively evaluate the server’s networking capabilities. Similarly, we will also conduct the Global Ping Test to measure latency precisely.
To assess regional accessibility and connection quality, we will carry out the Media Unlock Test and the CloudFlare Internet Test, respectively. Additionally, a comprehensive assessment of web performance will be performed using PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix Performance indicators.

Conclusion
Our initial testing involved a basic bench, where we assessed the server’s I/O speed and network performance by connecting to different locations worldwide. The average I/O Speed was 947 MB/s, highlighting excellent disk performance. Network performance showed high-speed connections close to or above 1 Gbps to European and North American locations, close to the server’s maximum. However, the connection speeds to Asian locations were comparably lower but still satisfactory.
The Yabs Performance Bench and Geekbench 6 Benchmark Test assessed the server performance. The Ryzen NVMe VPS demonstrated impressive read-write speeds across varying block sizes in the Yabs Performance Test, signifying its robust disk system. Also, the Geekbench 6 benchmark test showed substantial scores for both single and multi-core performance.
Subsequent testing with UnixBench targeted the evaluation of CPU performance. Running both single and double instances of CPU processes, the SkylonHost Ryzen VPS showcased its powerful processing capabilities with high scores across various parameters – like ‘Dhrystone 2 using register variables’, ‘Double-Precision Whetstone,’ and ‘File Copy 4096 bufsize 8000 maxblocks’. The Dhrystone 2 score was particularly notable, exceeding 94 million lps when two CPUs ran parallel tasks.
Our extensive testing and analysis indicate that SkylonHost’s AMD Ryzen NVMe VPS offers impressive performance across multiple performance metrics. Its stellar showing in disk I/O, network connectivity, CPU, and disk operations provides compelling evidence of its remarkable capabilities. Comparatively higher benchmark scores indicate its prowess and reliability for handling high-performance web hosting, making it an excellent choice for businesses seeking efficient and robust server solutions.
